Rev1 Technologies is your authorized SHINING 3D reseller and US support partner in Auburn Hills, Michigan — not a grey-market importer.

Large-Volume Accuracy You Can Put in an Inspection Report.
A Paper Trail QA Can Defend — Not Just a Datasheet
For large assets, the number that matters is volumetric accuracy across the whole working volume — not a single-point figure measured at arm’s length. The FreeScan UE Nova holds 0.072 mm single-point accuracy and 0.072 + 0.012 mm/m volumetric accuracy with integrated photogrammetry, validated to VDI/VDE 2634 Part 3 and ISO 10360 in SHINING 3D’s ISO/IEC 17025 accredited Accuracy Lab. That is the same family of standards the metrology industry uses to qualify large-volume trackers — with traceable documentation Rev1 supplies for audit and regulated workflows on request.
Validated to a stated tolerance in an accredited lab — a lab-certified number tuned for large-volume capture, not a marketing peak.
0.072 + 0.012 mm/m across the working envelope with Video Photogrammetry engaged — so error does not run away as the part grows.
Independent traceability to recognized national measurement standards — the accreditation level used to qualify metrology-grade systems.
Acceptance report and traceable calibration certificate for first-article inspection, regulated workflows, and QA audits.
Large-Volume Accuracy Without Sticking a Single Marker.
VPG Replaces the Coded-Target Ritual
Photogrammetry normally means hours of sticking and removing coded targets before you can even start scanning a large part. The UE Nova’s integrated Video Photogrammetry builds the global reference frame in real time from the scanner’s own video stream plus the supplied calibration rod — so a ship hull, blade, or fuselage holds large-volume accuracy with zero markers on the surface. Set up in minutes, not hours, and scan parts that would otherwise need a separate photogrammetry pass.
50 Blue-Laser Lines. Stable on Dark, Shiny, and Outdoor Surfaces.
Blue Laser for Industrial Surfaces and Ambient Light
Blue-laser light has low sensitivity to ambient light and surface reflectivity, so the UE Nova scans dark, shiny, and outdoor surfaces that trip up structured-light systems — on the shop floor or out in the yard. Fifty parallel laser lines cover wide surfaces in a single pass while holding stable accuracy, and resolution spans 0.5–10 mm so you capture the geometry that matters without drowning in points on a large asset.
Superior Material Compatibility
From rusted castings and machined steel to reflective aluminum and painted panels, the UE Nova captures dependable data across normal, black, and reflective surfaces — indoors and outdoors — without spray on most parts. That material latitude is what lets one wireless scanner cover a foundry, a fabrication bay, and a field-service job without changing tools.
4,600,000 Points Per Second Across a Wide Field.
Cover the Big Part in One Pass, Not Ten
Fifty blue-laser lines and a wide field of view let the UE Nova acquire up to 4,600,000 points per second — so a large panel, hull section, or casting is digitized in a sweep instead of a grid of overlapping captures. Fewer passes means fewer alignment seams, less drift on big assets, and an operator who covers more square metres before a battery swap. On a wide field, speed is not a vanity number — it is whether the job finishes in a shift.
A 2.6 × 2.2 m Field, Reaching Up to 2.6 m of Distance.
An Extra-Large Field of View for Big Assets
With a maximum field of view of 2.6 × 2.2 m, the UE Nova frames an entire rail car, boat, or machine bed at once — capturing context and global form in a single view instead of stitching dozens of small captures. The wide field is what keeps a large-asset scan fast, coherent, and low-drift.
Three Selectable Ranges, One Scanner
Switch the working range to match the job: Near mode (300–800 mm) for detail on a casting, Standard mode (600–1500 mm) for general inspection, and Far mode (1200–2600 mm) to stand back from a hull or wind blade and capture the whole structure. One device adapts from benchtop reach to standoff distance without swapping hardware.
No Cables. No Cart. Walk the Whole Asset.
Built-In Computing, Hot-Swap Batteries
The UE Nova runs fully wireless, with onboard computing modules and detachable, hot-swappable batteries — so an operator can circle a haul truck, climb scaffolding around a hull, or walk the length of a wind blade without dragging a tethered cart or a laptop. When a battery runs low, swap it and keep scanning; no shutdown, no lost session. A wired fiber-optic mode is there for fixed-station work when you want it.
Live Preview, Anywhere on the Part
See the scan build in real time on a mobile device while you move around the asset — so you catch a missed area before you pack up, not back at the desk. Wireless freedom plus live feedback is what turns a multi-trip field job into a single visit.
Scan to CAD. Compare to Nominal. Report. One Connected Path.
Capture in FreeScan Trak, then move straight into dimensional-inspection software for part-to-CAD comparison, or into reverse-engineering tools for scan-to-CAD — no proprietary lock-in.
Certified Geometry Into Every Downstream Tool
The UE Nova exports STL, OBJ, PLY, ASC, and 3MF — straight into Geomagic Design X, PolyWorks Inspector, Geomagic Control X, EXModel Pro, and SHINING3D Inspect. Large-asset first-article inspection, deviation mapping, reverse engineering, and as-built documentation all run off the same certified mesh.
FreeScan Trak to Capture. The Whole Industry Stack to Finish.
Capture and process in FreeScan Trak, then connect natively to SHINING3D Inspect for PTB-certified GD&T inspection, and out to the broader stack — Geomagic Design X, Geomagic Control X, PolyWorks Inspector, EXModel Pro, and BlueStar Mapping. Rev1 confirms software fit and seat-licensing during application review.
PTB-Certified Inspection, Open Exports
SHINING3D Inspect brings PTB-certified GD&T and deviation analysis to the UE Nova’s data, while open export formats keep your certified mesh portable into the third-party CAD and inspection tools your team already runs. No lock-in: the geometry is yours to take anywhere downstream.
Heavy Industry, Marine, Energy, and Large-Asset Inspection.
One wireless wide-FOV scanner covers large-asset inspection, reverse engineering, restoration, and as-built documentation — marine and shipbuilding, mining and heavy equipment, energy and wind, rail, aerospace structures, and foundry.
From a Ship Propeller to a Haul-Truck Bed
The wide field of view, wireless freedom, and markerless VPG cover dimensional inspection, reverse engineering, and as-built capture on assets too big to bring to a bench — from a bronze propeller and a rail bogie to a mining dump-truck bed and a wind-turbine blade in the field.
A Field-Validated Optical Engine. A Family You Can Grow Into. US Support Behind It.
Built for the Yard, Not Just the Clean Room
An IP50-rated body, blue-laser tolerance to outdoor light, and a fully wireless workflow make the UE Nova at home on a job site — a mine, a dry dock, a wind farm — where the part cannot come to a bench. The FreeScan optical engine and software stack are field-validated across heavy industry worldwide, not a v1 platform to debug.
One FreeScan Family, US Support Behind It
The UE Nova shares its optical-engine architecture and FreeScan software with the rest of the family — step across to the wireless dynamic-tracking FreeScan Trak Nova or the fine-detail FreeScan Combo Series without retraining the operator or the QA owner. Pre-sale application review, calibration verification, software integration, and operator training are delivered from Auburn Hills, Michigan by a factory-trained team — warranty service routes through authorized channels, never a grey-market importer.
