AESUB Vanishing 3D Scanning Spray Make Shiny, Dark & Clear Parts Scannable — Then It Vanishes

Vanishing Scanning Spray — Five Grades, One Spray Family

AESUB Vanishing 3D Scanning Spray aerosol can, Made in Germany

AESUB vanishing sprays lay a thin, even matte coat on parts a 3D scanner can’t otherwise see — shiny metal, dark plastic, clear and transparent surfaces — then self-sublimate and disappear with no wiping, no solvent, no residue. Pick the grade that fits the job: Blue for everyday work, Violet and Diamond for the finest detail, Orange for long sessions, Transparent when a clear coat matters. All pigment- and TiO₂-free, Made in Germany. Compare grades →

What It Does

The Surfaces Your Scanner Can’t See — Solved.

Reflections, dark colors and transparency are the three things that defeat 3D scanners: shiny surfaces scatter the light, dark surfaces absorb it, and clear parts let it pass straight through — all leaving holes in the mesh. A light, even coat of AESUB turns any of them into a clean matte surface the scanner can read the first time.

AESUB being sprayed onto a reflective part to matte it for 3D scanning

A Thin Matte Coat, Evenly Applied.

Held around 20–30 cm from the part, AESUB lays down a fine, uniform matte layer — thin enough to preserve fine detail, opaque enough to kill reflections. That even coat is what lets structured-light and laser scanners resolve edges, pockets and freeform surfaces cleanly instead of dropping them out.

It Vanishes On Its Own

No Wiping. No Solvent. No Residue.

Every AESUB vanishing grade self-sublimates and disappears after you’ve scanned — anywhere from ~15 minutes (Diamond) to ~24 hours (Violet) depending on grade, layer thickness and temperature. There’s nothing to wash off, so you don’t risk damaging delicate parts and you don’t lose time cleaning between scans. All vanishing grades are pigment-free and TiO₂-free.

Part coated with AESUB vanishing scanning spray, ready to scan

Coat, Scan, Walk Away.

Because there’s no cleanup step, AESUB is the everyday choice for high-throughput reverse-engineering and inspection — matte the part, capture it, and the surface returns to normal by itself. Ideal when you’re scanning batches and don’t want solvent and rags in the loop.

Pick Your Grade

Five Vanishing Grades — Choose Your Color Above.

Each grade trades working time against layer thickness and detail. Use the selector to choose the grade and pack size; here’s how they compare so you know which one to run.

Blue
Everyday · 400ml
The standard vanishing spray. Scan window ~1–2 h, sublimes in ~4 h, 8–15 µm layer. The one to reach for most days.
Violet
Fine · longer window · 400ml
Finer 4–8 µm layer with a longer ~2–6 h scan window (sublimes ~24 h) — for detailed parts and longer sessions.
Orange
Long-lasting · 400ml
Thin 2–6 µm layer with the longest ~4–8 h working window (sublimes 12–24 h) — big parts, long jobs.
Transparent
Clear coat · 400ml
A transparent 15–20 µm coating (scan ~1–2 h, sublimes ~4 h) for when you want the lightest visible footprint.
Diamond
Ultra-fine · fast · 200ml
The finest 2 µm layer for the most demanding detail — ~10 min scan window, sublimes in 15–30 min.

Works With Any 3D Scanner.

Whatever grade you pick, AESUB is scanner-agnostic — use it with structured-light and laser systems from any manufacturer. If it’s a surface your scanner would otherwise struggle with, a light coat makes it scannable.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which grade should I choose?

Blue is the everyday all-rounder. Violet gives a finer layer and longer working window for detailed parts; Orange lasts longest for big parts and long sessions; Diamond is the finest layer for the most demanding detail (and clears fastest); Transparent is a clear coat for the lightest visible footprint. Not sure? Tell us your parts and we’ll pick one.

Do I have to clean it off afterward?

No. All the vanishing grades self-sublimate and disappear on their own after use — from ~15 minutes (Diamond) to ~24 hours (Violet) depending on grade, layer thickness and temperature. No wiping, no solvent, no residue.

Which scanners does it work with?

Any of them. AESUB is scanner-agnostic and works with structured-light and laser 3D scanners from every manufacturer. It’s the surface it prepares that matters, not the brand of scanner.

What’s the difference between vanishing and White (permanent)?

The five grades here vanish on their own with no cleanup. AESUB White is permanent — it stays until you clean it off, for workflows where the coat must last — and is sold as a separate product. White is also TiO₂-free.

Do the multi-packs save money?

Yes — pick a pack size (up to 96 cans) in the selector and the per-can price drops at higher quantities. For case or standing-order pricing, contact us and we’ll quote it.

Is this genuine AESUB?

Yes — genuine AESUB, Made in Germany, supplied and supported by Rev1 Technologies from Auburn Hills, Michigan. Held in US stock so you’re not waiting on overseas shipping mid-project.
