HeyGears Reflex 2 Heating ScraperSmart Scraper-Assisted Heating
Smart Scraper-Assisted Heating for the Reflex 2 / Reflex 2 Pro — 68% Faster Resin Warm-Up, ±1°C Precision, 24% Faster Drainage
A heated, instrumented scraper that warms resin from cold and holds it at temperature throughout the print. Heats PAP10 from 10°C to 22°C in 6 minutes (68% faster than passive warm-up), maintains temperature within ±1°C during runs, and shaves 24% off drainage time on high-viscosity resins like PAU20. Heat Resin Faster,
Hold It Steady, Drain Quicker
Production resins print best at a target temperature; cold resin produces flow artifacts and weak inter-layer bonding. The Heating Scraper drives PAP10 from 10°C to 22°C in 6 minutes — 68% faster than letting the printer warm passively. Translates directly to less idle time before each print and cleaner first-layer adhesion when starting a cold machine.
The scraper’s temperature sensor is closed-loop: it heats, measures, adjusts, repeats. Resin temperature stays inside a ±1°C window through the full print, eliminating the layer-quality drift you get when ambient temperature changes during a long run (overnight prints, shop temperature swings).
High-viscosity resins like PAU20 tooling resin drain slowly when cool. The scraper’s heating element warms the tank during drain (25°C → 35°C) and cuts drainage waiting time by over 24% on parts with cross-section > 40 mm. On a high-cycle production line this saves hours per shift.
Cold Shops, High-Viscosity Resins,
Production Throughput

Production lines running engineering resins. PAU20 tooling, PAH270 high-temp, PAC10 wax casting — all viscous, all temperature-sensitive. The ±1°C hold removes the most common cause of inter-batch quality variation in resin tooling shops.
Cold-environment setups. Shops that don’t climate-control the print room (garage workshops, unheated industrial spaces in winter) cold-soak the resin overnight. The scraper’s 6-minute warm-up replaces a 30-minute idle wait every morning.
High-throughput rigs running multiple resin chemistries. Faster drainage between resin swaps means more switches per shift — the throughput case for shops running PAS10 prototyping in the morning and PAH270 production in the afternoon.
Reflex 2 Series Only
The Heating Scraper’s mounting and heating-element geometry are sized for the Reflex 2 / Reflex 2 Pro chamber. It will not fit the original Reflex or the Reflex RS series — those chambers have different dimensions and currently have no equivalent heated-scraper accessory.

Frequently Asked —
Reflex 2 Heating Scraper
Is this a manual scraper or a heated tool?
Both. It scrapes resin off the build platform like a manual scraper, AND has a built-in heating element that warms the tank during pre-heat and during drain. The closed-loop temperature sensor holds the resin within a ±1°C window so layer quality stays consistent across long prints.
Will it fit my original Reflex or Reflex RS?
No. The Heating Scraper is dimensioned for the Reflex 2 generation chamber. The original Reflex and Reflex RS / RS Turbo currently have no equivalent heated-scraper accessory in HeyGears’ lineup — this is a Reflex 2 series exclusive.
Does it require a firmware update?
No. The Reflex 2 firmware recognizes the Heating Scraper automatically once it’s mounted — no over-the-air update or PC connection needed. Plug it in, the printer detects it, you can run heated workflows from the touchscreen.
Which resins benefit most from heated workflows?
High-viscosity engineering resins see the biggest gains: PAU20 tooling, PAH270 high-temp, PAC10 wax casting, PAP10 production-grade. Standard modeling resins (PAS10, PARP10) print fine without heating but get more consistent layer quality if your shop has temperature swings.
Are the 68% / 24% benchmarks reproducible in my shop?
Roughly. HeyGears benchmarked 68% on PAP10 going from 10°C to 22°C, and 24% drainage on PAU20 with parts > 40 mm cross-section. Your results depend on starting resin temperature, ambient temperature, the specific resin chemistry, and part geometry — expect the same direction (faster) but the magnitude shifts.
Is Klarna EasyPay available for this purchase?
Yes — the Heating Scraper at $95 qualifies for Klarna Pay-in-4: four interest-free payments of $23.75 every 2 weeks, no fees, no credit impact. Available at checkout. If you’re bundling with a Reflex 2 / Reflex 2 Pro printer purchase we can roll it into a longer-term Klarna financing worksheet — contact us at (248) 707-2950 or (248) 707-2950.
