Capability Stack

The H2D, hardened for engineering and production.

The H2D Pro takes Bambu Lab’s most capable print platform and tunes it for serious, repeatable, secure work. It keeps the headline dual-nozzle toolhead — two independent hotends so one lays the part and the other a dedicated support, with no purge tower and clean interfaces — and the 350°C engineering thermals that print carbon fiber, PA, PC and PPS. Then it adds the upgrades that matter to a professional shop: a Vision Encoder plate that holds 50 µm motion accuracy, tungsten carbide nozzles that survive abrasive filament far longer, and enterprise-grade network security for environments where an internet-connected machine is a liability. Both the AMS 2 Pro and the AMS HT are included for multi-material printing with active drying. It is the H2D built for an engineering team, a production cell, or a secure facility. Here is what sets it apart.

Dual-Nozzle System

Two nozzles. Clean supports, no purge tower.

Bambu Lab H2D Pro dual-nozzle toolhead — two independent hardened hotends
Two Independent Hotends

Dedicate one nozzle to the part, one to support.

The H2D Pro’s dual-nozzle toolhead runs two independent tungsten-carbide hotends with automatic X/Y offset calibration. One lays down your model, the other a dedicated support — soluble or breakaway — for clean interfaces without cross-contamination.

Single-nozzle multi-material printing wastes time and filament: every color or material change means purging the old material through the nozzle, building a purge tower and slowing the print. The H2D Pro sidesteps that. Because each material has its own nozzle, the printer simply lifts one and prints with the other — no purge cycle, no color bleed, and far less waste on multi-color and multi-material jobs. It also unlocks proper support workflows: a dedicated support material releases cleanly or dissolves, so complex overhangs, internal cavities and intricate geometry come out crisp instead of scarred by same-material supports. Bambu’s smart algorithms optimize which nozzle does what to minimize waste further. For functional engineering parts and detailed models alike, two nozzles is a genuine capability step, not a gimmick.

Dedicated support nozzle No purge tower Auto X/Y offset
Servo Extruder & Flow

A servo-driven toolhead built for speed and force.

DynaSense PMSM Servo

10 kg of force, high-flow throughput.

The H2D Pro uses a DynaSense permanent-magnet servo extruder with up to 10 kg of force and 20 kHz sampling, feeding up to 65 mm³/s in high-flow mode at toolhead speeds to 1000 mm/s and 20,000 mm/s² acceleration. An upgraded high-performance toolhead cooling fan reduces clogging and jams on demanding runs.

Throughput is where the H2D Pro pulls ahead of earlier desktop machines. A servo-driven extruder measures and corrects filament feed thousands of times a second, delivering the grip needed to push abrasive carbon-fiber composites and the precise control needed for clean retraction. Paired with a high-flow hotend that melts up to 65 mm³ of plastic per second, the H2D Pro lays down material fast without starving the nozzle, so large parts and dense infill finish in a fraction of the time a standard extruder would take. The rigid CoreXY motion holds accuracy through the fast moves with vibration compensation and pressure advance, and the Pro’s improved toolhead cooling keeps long, hot composite jobs running reliably. The result is a machine quick enough for production batches yet precise enough for functional engineering parts — and strong enough to run the reinforced materials those parts demand.

Vision Encoder

50µm motion accuracy, calibrated by vision.

The H2D Pro Vision Encoder plate — maps the motion system for 50-micron accuracy
Full-Frame Vision Calibration

Repeatability you can build a process on.

The H2D Pro adds a Vision Encoder plate that maps the motion system optically and holds 50 µm accuracy across the full build area — so part dimensions stay consistent from corner to corner and run to run.

For prototyping and production, the number that matters is not a one-off best case — it is how tightly the machine repeats. The Vision Encoder calibrates the H2D Pro’s motion against a full-frame optical reference, correcting positional error across the whole plate so a feature printed in one corner matches the same feature printed in another, and the tenth part matches the first. That full-field 50 µm accuracy is what lets an engineering team treat the printer as a qualified process rather than a hobby tool: tolerances hold, assemblies fit, and inspection passes consistently. Combined with the dual-nozzle toolhead and tungsten nozzles, it makes the H2D Pro a machine you can standardize a part on and trust to reproduce it — the difference between a printer that makes a good part once and one that makes a good part every time.

Two Materials, One Build

Hard and soft, structure and support, in one part.

The dual-nozzle toolhead and engineering thermals let the H2D Pro produce parts a single-material printer can’t: rigid frames with soft-touch grips, structural bodies with soluble-support internals, and carbon-fiber components with clean cosmetic surfaces. From functional prototypes and end-use fixtures to detailed display models and consumer products, it delivers the strength, finish and dimensional consistency that production work demands — with Vision-Encoder repeatability and tungsten-nozzle durability behind every run. Whether you are iterating an engineering design, manufacturing small batches, or qualifying a part for production, the H2D Pro holds the line. Rev1 helps you match nozzles, materials and AMS configuration to the parts you make.

Tungsten Nozzles & Precision

Built to run abrasive composites, part after part.

Tungsten carbide vs standard nozzle wear — up to 40x longer life on abrasive filament
HRA 90 Tungsten Carbide

Hard enough for carbon fiber, day in and day out.

The H2D Pro’s tungsten carbide nozzles reach HRA 90 hardness — well above the standard hardened-steel HRA 74 — for roughly 50% longer life when printing abrasive carbon- and glass-fiber filament, so dimensions stay true as the nozzle ages.

Fiber-reinforced filament is brutal on nozzles: the abrasive particles that make carbon-fiber parts stiff also wear a standard brass or hardened-steel nozzle until the orifice opens up and flow drifts out of spec. On a production machine that means frequent nozzle changes and inconsistent parts. The H2D Pro answers that with tungsten carbide — one of the hardest practical nozzle materials — which holds its geometry far longer under the same abrasive load. Paired with Vision-Encoder calibration and a full sensor suite (auto calibration, AI nozzle macro camera, 1080p live view and remote monitoring), the machine keeps tight tolerances on intricate geometry — turbine blades, lattices, threaded features — print after print, whether you are in the room or checking from your phone. For a shop that runs composites all day, longer nozzle life is fewer interruptions and more parts in spec.

Active Thermals

A heated chamber and enhanced cooling — built for engineering materials.

Engineering polymers need heat to fuse layer-to-layer and controlled airflow to hold tolerance. The H2D Pro actively manages both — a 65°C (149°F) heated-and-cooled build chamber for fewer failures and stronger parts, plus an upgraded toolhead cooling fan that keeps bridges and overhangs crisp even while the chamber runs hot.

Air Filtration

Enclosed and filtered — safe to run in a shared space.

Bambu Lab H2D Pro heavy-duty air filtration — exploded view of the activated-carbon and HEPA-grade filter stack
Activated Carbon + HEPA

Captures the particulates and VOCs 3D printing gives off.

A heavy-duty two-stage filter — activated carbon for odor and VOCs, a HEPA-grade layer for ultrafine particulates — cleans the chamber air before it leaves the machine.

Engineering materials earn their properties at high temperatures, and at those temperatures ABS, ASA, PC and PPS release fumes and ultrafine particles you don’t want filling a room. The H2D Pro’s sealed chamber pulls that air through an activated-carbon bed that adsorbs the VOCs and odor, then a HEPA-grade layer that traps the particulates, so what exhausts is far cleaner than an open or loosely-vented printer. For an office, classroom or shared lab, that’s the difference between running production materials all day and being told to move the printer somewhere with a window. Rev1 can advise on filter-replacement intervals for the materials you actually run.

Enterprise Network Security

Built for secure facilities and offline shops.

H2D Pro enterprise network security — WPA3-Enterprise, EAP-TLS/TTLS and physical kill switches
WPA2-Enterprise · Ethernet · Kill Switch

Connectivity on your terms — or none at all.

The H2D Pro adds the network controls that IT and security teams require: WPA2-Enterprise Wi-Fi authentication, a wired Ethernet port, physical network kill switches, and a fully removable network module so the machine can run completely offline.

An internet-connected printer is a non-starter in many engineering, defense and corporate environments, where every networked device has to meet a security policy. The H2D Pro is designed for exactly those facilities. It authenticates to managed networks with WPA2-Enterprise, connects over wired Ethernet for reliability and control, and gives operators physical switches to cut networking on demand. When a job has to stay fully air-gapped, the network module lifts out entirely and the printer runs in LAN-only or offline mode from local files — no cloud, no outbound connection. That combination lets a secure shop adopt the H2D Pro’s dual-nozzle, composite-capable printing without compromising its network posture, and lets IT manage it like any other enterprise device. Rev1 can help your team plan the deployment and the network configuration.

H2D Pro fleet management — Bambu Farm Manager server coordinating multiple printers with a tailored integration to the customer system
Farm Manager + Integration

Run a managed fleet, wired into your own systems.

Past a single secure machine, the H2D Pro fits a managed deployment: Bambu’s Farm Manager server coordinates a fleet of printers — centralized queueing, monitoring and access control — and a tailored-solution layer connects that fleet to your own ordering, MES or ERP so jobs flow from your software straight to the floor. For a production cell or service bureau, that replaces walking spool-to-spool with one managed pipeline. Rev1 helps scope the integration and volume.

Materials

From PLA to PPS and carbon fiber — AMS 2 Pro & HT included.

With 350°C tungsten carbide nozzles, a 120°C bed and a 65°C actively heated chamber, the H2D Pro runs the full material spectrum — everyday filaments, warp-prone engineering polymers, and abrasive fiber-reinforced and high-temperature materials. Both multi-material systems are in the box: the AMS 2 Pro keeps filament dry with active drying, and the AMS HT dries to 85°C with a bypass for fiber-reinforced material. Run genuine Bambu Lab filament for automatic RFID settings, or any standard 1.75 mm spool.

Everyday & Flexible

PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and PET print fast and clean — including soluble PVA support through the second nozzle.

Engineering & High-Temp

ABS, ASA, PC, PA and PPS run in the warm enclosed chamber that keeps high-temp, warp-prone materials flat and strong.

Carbon & Glass Fiber

Tungsten nozzles and a high-force servo extruder handle carbon- and glass-reinforced composites for stiff, stable end-use parts — with the durability to run them often.

Soluble & Breakaway Support

The second nozzle lays a dedicated support — soluble PVA or breakaway — so internal geometry and overhangs release clean, with no purge tower and no scarring.

Dry, Straight From the Box

The AMS 2 Pro actively dries everyday filament as it feeds; the included AMS HT reaches 85°C for PA, PC and fiber-reinforced spools that lose properties the moment they absorb moisture.

Genuine or Any Spool

Genuine Bambu Lab filament loads its profile automatically over RFID, and the open 1.75 mm path runs any standard third-party spool — no lock-in.

FAQ

Bambu Lab H2D Pro questions.

What is the difference between the H2D Pro and the standard H2D?

They share the same dual-nozzle, 350°C, large-format CoreXY print platform. The H2D Pro adds a Vision Encoder plate for 50 µm full-frame motion accuracy, tungsten carbide nozzles (HRA 90, ~50% longer life on abrasives), enterprise network security (WPA2-Enterprise, Ethernet, kill switches, removable network module) and an upgraded toolhead cooling fan. It includes both the AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT. Notably, the H2D Pro is print-focused and does not include the laser, cutting and plotting modules that the H2D Full Laser combos offer.

What does the Vision Encoder do?

It calibrates the motion system against a full-frame optical reference and holds 50 µm accuracy across the whole build area. That means a feature printed in one corner matches the same feature in another, and parts repeat run to run — the consistency an engineering team needs to qualify a printed part as a real process.

Why tungsten carbide nozzles?

Carbon- and glass-fiber filament is abrasive and wears ordinary nozzles open, drifting flow out of spec. The H2D Pro’s tungsten carbide nozzles reach HRA 90 hardness — well above standard hardened steel at HRA 74 — for roughly 50% longer life, so a shop running composites changes nozzles less often and holds tolerances longer.

What network-security features does it have?

WPA2-Enterprise Wi-Fi authentication, a wired Ethernet port, physical network kill switches, and a fully removable network module so the printer can run completely offline. It is designed for engineering, corporate and secure environments where a networked device must meet an IT security policy — you can manage it on a controlled network or air-gap it entirely.

Does the H2D Pro do laser engraving or cutting?

No — the H2D Pro is the print-focused model and does not include the laser, blade cutter or plotter. If you want the all-in-one laser-and-cut workshop, the base H2D with the laser combo is the right choice. Rev1 can help you decide between them.

What materials can it print, and what AMS is included?

The full range: PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and PET, plus engineering and high-temp materials like ABS, ASA, PC, PA and PPS, and abrasive carbon- and glass-fiber composites. Both multi-material systems are included — the AMS 2 Pro for active drying and the AMS HT for drying to 85°C with a fiber-reinforced bypass — and you can chain units for up to 16 colors.

Is it a good machine for production or a regulated facility?

Yes — that is exactly its target. The Vision Encoder gives repeatable 50 µm accuracy, tungsten nozzles withstand continuous composite printing, the dual-nozzle toolhead and 350°C thermals produce functional engineering parts, and the enterprise network controls satisfy IT and security requirements. Together with cloud or fully-offline operation and AI monitoring, it suits production cells, engineering labs and secure shops. Rev1 offers multi-unit and enterprise pricing with deployment support.

How does Rev1 support the purchase?

Rev1 ships genuine, fully-assembled Bambu Lab hardware from US stock, helps you choose the right H2D model and materials, plans the network deployment, and supports setup, slicing and troubleshooting. Multi-unit and enterprise pricing and Klarna are available for larger orders.
