3DXTech PLA Pellets — Common Questions

What are PLA pellets for?

Making your own PLA filament on a home filament extruder, or feeding a pellet-fed 3D printer directly. They are also used for injection molding and materials research. Bulk pellets are the most economical way to run PLA at volume.

How do I process them?

Pre-dry at 60 °C for 4 hours, then extrude at 170–190 °C. Drying is essential — wet resin extrudes with bubbles in the filament.

Is this the same PLA as your spooled filament?

Yes — it is the same USA-made ECOMAX™ PLA resin, just in bulk pellet form. The published property data applies to both.

What sizes are available?

10 kg / 25 kg pails, in natural. Ask us about colors and larger volumes.

Where can I get the mechanical data?

Anything special about processing?
