Rev1 PETG-CF — common questions.

Do I need a hardened nozzle?

Yes. The carbon fiber that stiffens this filament is abrasive and will wear out a standard brass nozzle. Use a hardened-steel or other abrasion-resistant nozzle.

How is PETG-CF different from regular PETG?

It's PETG with chopped carbon-fiber reinforcement — 15–30% higher strength and noticeably higher rigidity, with a premium matte-black finish, while keeping PETG's chemical and moisture resistance.

Do I have to dry it?

Drying before printing is recommended for the best surface finish and to eliminate stringing. Keep the spool in a dry box between prints.

Do I need an enclosure?

No — PETG-CF prints reliably on open-frame, heated-bed machines. An enclosure can help on large parts but isn't required.

What sizes and colors are available?
