PPA takes the heat — carbon fiber adds the stiffness.

Bambu PPA-CF is a carbon-fiber reinforced high-performance polyamide. PPA (polyphthalamide) is a semi-aromatic nylon that far outperforms standard PA in heat resistance and rigidity; the carbon fiber adds stiffness and dimensional stability. The result is an engineering filament for demanding, high-temperature functional parts — brackets, housings, tooling and under-hood components.

Bambu PPA-CF — Common Questions

Do I need a hardened nozzle?

Yes — carbon fiber is abrasive; use a hardened steel nozzle, 0.4 mm or larger.

What makes PPA better than regular nylon?

PPA (polyphthalamide) is a semi-aromatic nylon with much higher heat resistance and rigidity than standard PA6, so parts stay strong at higher service temperatures.

Does it need drying?

Yes — nylons are hygroscopic. Dry at 80 °C for 8–12 hours before use and keep it dry while printing.

Typical applications?

High-heat brackets, housings, tooling, jigs and under-hood automotive parts.
