FreeScan Trak ProW features a groundbreaking design with an ultra-long 8.6 m tracking distance and widely expands the single-station tracking volume to 206.7 mĀ³, significantly reducing the need for leapfrog* during large-scale object scanning.
(1) Leapfrog: Refers to the technique of relocating the measuring device to extend its working volume. This involves measuring reference geometries (artifacts) in one position, then repositioning the device and measuring the same reference geometries again. These reference points establish a link between the new device position and the original coordinate system, allowing measurements to be consistently reported in the same reference frame.
FreeTrak W enables real-time TE25W scanner recognition and positioning, eliminating the need for reference markers, which enhances scanning efficiency and streamlines the workflow, while ensuring rapid data acquisition with a scanning speed of up to 5,500,000 points per second.
FreeScan Trak ProW features SHINING 3Dās patented video-based photogrammetry, which eliminates the need for coded targets. By integrating photogrammetry technology with a calibration rod, it enables real-time marker verification through video capture. This ensures consistent volumetric accuracy and streamlines the setup process for efficient large-object scanning.
Designed for quick measurements and inspections, the FreeProbe captures precise geometric data without generating mesh. It is ideal for hidden areas the scanner cannot reach, ensuring data acquisition with pinpoint accuracy.

Tired of the limitations in 3D scanning? When scanning large objects, the tracking volume is often too small, forcing you to leapfrog multiple times. But what if there was a system that could cover up to 8.6 meters wirelessly and make the whole process faster and easier? Meet the FreeScan Trak ProW!
This wireless 3D dynamic tracking and scanning system offers a massive 206.7 mĀ³ measuring range, drastically reducing the need for multiple leapfrogs. For example, when scanning large vehicles, you only need one leapfrog to capture the full data.
As a wide-range tracking laser 3D scanning system, FreeScan Trak ProW continues the advantages of FreeScan Trak Pro2, including high and repeatable accuracy, marker free, high-speed scanning, etc. It further expands the measurement range, and the single-site tracking range is expanded to 128m3, which can reduce the frequency of traker position changes when acquiring complete data, improving efficiency while ensuring data accuracy. It is suitable for dimensional measurement of large-scale components in manufacturing industries such as aerospace, automotive, rail transportation, and energy.
Global markers and a scale bar scanning quality indicator are newly added in Photogrammetry. The real-time recognition feature reduces marker omission and incompleteness, significantly enhancing the accuracy and reliability of object scanning for various industrial and professional applications.
FreeScan Trak ProW delivers metrology-grade scanning results with exceptional accuracy, reaching up to 0.023mm. With a measurement volume of 15.6mĀ³, it consistently maintains a volumetric accuracy of 0.046mm, ensuring precise and reliable performance for various industrial applications.
The scanning volume of FreeScan Trak ProW can be extended in two ways. The first method involves using global markers for coordinate registration, allowing Trak ProW to move freely while maintaining tracking as long as the markers remain visible. The second method is utilizing a multi-Trak ProW setup provided by SHINING 3D, which enables an expanded scanning volume by integrating multiple tracking units.
FreeProbe is an optical-based CMM measurement device that offers portability and operates within the full tracking volume. It is particularly useful for measuring areas that the scanner cannot reach, such as obstructed or hard-to-access regions, by allowing precise probing to capture measurements.
Both wired and wireless modes have equivalent data transmission bandwidth under full operating conditions, ensuring consistent scanning speed in both modes.
SHINING 3D provides power banks or batteries in the package. For the Trak ProW tracker, a V-mount 155W battery with a D-tap port is recommended, while the TE25W scanner requires a USB-C power bank with an output of over 100W. For further details, please contact our support team.
The single-site tracking range has been extended to 128mĀ³, leading to a substantial reduction in station change time. Visualization of the scanner’s position within the tracking range enhances scanning efficiency.
